Northwest ORCA (Online Records and Collections Access) is a digital discovery database for the Northwest Room and Community Archives Center at Tacoma Public Library. Materials from the City of Tacoma Office of the City Clerk are also available. Explore collection descriptions and access digitized and born digital content. New content is added regularly. What to look for

1. Check out their information table for details about the Community Archives Center project and information about how the library can support genealogical research for African American families. 

2. Find their scanning station available to scan your family recipes and/or family photos and make them available through the Community Archives Center database.

3. They are offering a video recording of our storytelling participants that will be available through the Community Archives Center database.

4. They are also available to record brief stories/oral histories with attendees and make them available through the Community Archives Center database.
